The software engineering role is a 12-week program and best for students looking to work in a fast-paced environment (we’re talking where code can go live within a few hours). The Data Scientist role is also available for Master’s students too.
NVIDIA Ignite Internships Are Live for Underclassmen

NVIDIA opened its 2027 Ignite Internships in Santa Clara, CA, with listings for both Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering roles. The Ignite Internship program is a 12-week summer “pre-internship” program aimed at underclassmen who don’t have any experience yet, so this is worth a look if you're earlier in your degree. For the hardware engineering role, students can stand out with basic CAD knowledge.
Amazon Posted Three Summer 2027 SDE Internships

Amazon opened three Software Development Engineer Intern roles for Summer 2027 in the USA. Two are in Embedded Systems (including one on the Amazon Leo team), and the third is on Mobile (iOS/Android). Applicants for both Summer 2027 Embedded Systems roles may also be considered for Fall and/or Winter 2027 internships as well, depending on availability (though nothing is guaranteed). This could also mean that they will prioritize previous applicants for next season, so that’s something to consider as well if you’re on the fence about applying.

Tesla opened a Data Engineer internship on its Data Engineering & Business Intelligence team for Winter/Spring 2027 in Fremont, CA. This internship is a full-time position and pays $32.45 - $45.43 with some possible benefits.
Stripe Opened a Data Analyst Internship

Stripe posted a Data Analyst Intern role on its University team in Chicago, IL, and three other locations. They’re looking for people familiar with SQL, and this role is also open to Master’s students.

Hack Western 13 is running an in-person university hackathon on November 20-22, 2026. Team applications close on October 18. Master’s & PhD students can also join the hackathon. The website also states that they will be providing partial travel reimbursement after the event for teams that successfully submit projects during the hackathon while funds are still available. Columbia Quant Group is hosting its first intercollegiate flagship event, an undergraduate-only trading competition. It brings 100-120 students from universities across the US to New York City for live trading games on December 5-6, 2026. Flights to NYC are paid!
